Help Kids Like Eli Find Joy and Healing
Eight-year-old Eli Clark was physically and emotionally drained after days in the hospital. His mom, Maria, was worried about Eli. She hadn’t seen him smile and be himself since they arrived at the hospital, and Maria thought he may not have energy for the Project Sunshine party. But the moment they arrived, Eli lit up. He eagerly joined every activity, laughing and forgetting he was sick. The volunteers made him feel special, giving him extra materials to take back to his room.
That same day, Eli was cleared to go home earlier than expected. Maria credits Project Sunshine’s engaging volunteers and joyful play session as the reason for Eli’s early discharge.
Your support this holiday season will provide moments of play and healing for children like Eli.
Provide Play This Holiday Season!
During these winter months, there is increased stress on pediatric families, heightened loneliness, and the need for quality family time, special celebrations, and chances to make positive memories during dark times. What is exciting about this time, though, is Project Sunshine's capability to step in and make a difference in communities all over the US. We hope you will help us achieve our goal of impacting 75,000 kids and families this holiday season.
