On June 20 - the longest day of the year - join Project Sunshine in creating the longest day of play. This Summer Solstice, you can brighten hospital stays for children with medical needs across the country. Donate $15 for 15 hours of sunshine to bring healing play programs to children facing medical challenges.
Play is an important piece of treating the whole child. Kids learn through play, express themselves through play, and relax through play.
When children are receiving medical treatments and forego regular play, they miss out on a powerful coping mechanism. For kids with medical challenges, play normalizes unfamiliar settings, helps to build resiliency, and brings joy and laughter to stressful situations.
This is what Project Sunshine is all about: providing play programs that can help to improve emotional wellness and lead to better physical and mental health outcomes for pediatric patients.

Ava, mother of an 8-month-old with limited mobility, says her daughter lights up every time they play with Project Sunshine's Puppet Pals during their visits to Arkansas Children's Hospital Northwest.
